Centria - Drones and autonomous devices infrastructure

Infrastructure description

Centria has strong expertise in drones and other autonomous devices. The comprehensive fleet enables a wide range of use cases to be demonstrated on the ground, in the air, on and under water. These use cases are usually driven by the needs of companies and public authorities. The aim is to develop new types of solutions and to exploit and further process the data generated by these solutions. In addition to the wide range of commercial off-the-shelf solutions, Centria also designs and manufactures autonomous devices for different use cases. 3D modelling software is used to design customized solutions, simulations and strength calculations. Parts can be manufactured using different materials and in different ways, such as using a 3D printer. At Centria, drones and autonomous devices are actively used in various research and development projects and service activities. Centria also offers training and supervised A2 tests. In Ylivieska, the laboratory can be visited to learn about the equipment and the possibilities it offers.
