Machine automation laboratory

Infrastructure description

The machine automation laboratory is a education laboratory of Centria University of Applied Sciences, which offers students the opportunity to study practically matters related to pneumatics, machine vision, AC servo technology, proximity switches and logic control. In addition to theoretical teaching, the laboratory enables making practical connections, implementing and testing logic programs, and conducting experiments related to machine vision. The laboratory has programmable logics from Omron and Siemens, proximity switches from several different manufacturers, pneumatic equipment from SMC, machine vision equipment from several different manufacturers, as well as machine vision lights, miniature conveyors, and stepper motors and servo shafts. The laboratory is updated annually. The typical group size for training is 10-12 people.
